Important Philosophy Change:
To keep the community active and welcoming, we are moving away from permanent bans for most Discord offenses. Instead, we will use temporary bans, timeouts, and warnings as our primary punishments. Permanent bans are now reserved for only the most severe, real-world violations.
All other offenses will result in temporary bans, timeouts, wipes, or warnings as described below.
Note: Repeat offenders are not exempt. At a certain point, continued rule breaking of any kind can result in a permanent ban.
Examples include:
Do not privately message staff, use the support ticket system to get help faster.
No sharing personal information about any individual without their consent. That it is publicly available elsewhere is not a defense.
Tier 1 - Doxxing (Zero Tolerance)
Sharing information that enables real-world contact, location, or harm: a legal name paired with an address, phone number, workplace or school, IP address, or financial details.
Tier 2 - Identity Exposure
Tying a person's real-world identity to their game or Discord account without their consent: a real-life photo, their real name, or a personal social-media account.
Do not publicly accuse other users/players of misconduct. Use a support ticket.
No posting content related to piracy, cheats, cracks, exploits, or NSFW material.
Do not joke, boast, or falsely claim that you use cheats, hacks, or exploits. Even if meant as a joke, it reflects poorly on the server and often leads to unnecessary reports or investigations because other players may not realize it is not serious.
Do not beg other players/admins for items or virtual currency (VC).
This is not a dating service. Do not use the community to find dates or direct unwanted romantic or suggestive behavior at other members. If a member or staff tells you to stop, the conversation ends immediately. Age-targeted, coercive, or explicit conduct is handled under Rule 1.9 instead.
Examples include:
Asking other members to set you up with someone from the server
Using public chat to look for dates, hookups, or romantic attention
Repeatedly turning public chat into matchmaking commentary about other members
Unwanted flirting or suggestive comments directed at members
Continuing romantic or suggestive comments after someone is uncomfortable, uninterested, or staff has intervened
Repeatedly making sexual or romantic comments about another member after the topic has been shut down
First Offense: 14-day temp ban issued to the user
Second Offense: Permanent ban issued to the user
Age-targeted, coercive, explicit, or otherwise predatory conduct is treated as a severe real-world violation.
Examples include:
Seeking out the "youngest," "barely legal," or otherwise age-targeted member for romantic or sexual attention
Sexual comments, requests, or grooming behavior involving minors, or anyone presented as a minor
Asking members for intimate or sexually suggestive photos, videos, audio, or similar content
Sexual threats aimed at a real person
Coercive or sexually explicit DMs intended to pressure someone into intimate interaction or content
Using a false identity to sexually target or manipulate other members
First Offense: Permanent ban issued to the user
Do not warn other users, argue moderation in public, demand punishments, or insert yourself into staff interactions. If you think a rule is being broken or a staff action is incorrect, open a support ticket instead.
Be respectful in voice channels. No excessive mic spam, soundboards, screaming, or disruptive behavior.
Multiple Discord/Player accounts are not permitted.
If the player is in a tribe by themselves when they get banned, the tribe will be wiped.
Harboring alt accounts for other people is not allowed.
Players without Discord have 48 hours to join and link their account (an Xbox DM will be sent) or be removed from the server. The ban remains permanent until they join the Discord and submit an appeal.
Overly offensive/super NSFW usernames or avatars are not allowed.
This rule covers the whole profile: username, display name, avatar, banner, pronouns, bio and custom status.

Conducting any real-world economic activity on this server is strictly prohibited.
Scamming other players (fake giveaways, impersonating others to steal VC, fraudulent trades, etc.) is forbidden.

Impersonating admins or staff is forbidden.
This covers any name or profile presented so as to suggest you are Vertyco staff, an owner, or the network itself. It applies to the Discord username and display name, and to in-game character and tribe names.
A ban issued under 2.7 is appealable, provided the user has actually changed the offending name.
Do not spam or abuse the support ticket system with frivolous or repeated tickets.
Do not hoist your display name to the top of the member list (a leading !, @, or any other character that sorts before letters).
Alternative accounts may only appeal bans under these specific conditions:
• ✅ The alt account has not been used in the server (no registration or VC claims).
• ✅ The alt immediately contacts Staff about their appeal.
• ✅ The alt was not in the server simultaneously with the main account.

Server advertisements are strictly prohibited. This includes indirect invites such as "DM me to join my server."
Profile ads: the rule applies to chat and to one part of the profile only, a display name hoisted to the top of the member list (a leading ! or similar) so the ad shows prominently. Custom status, bio, avatar, banner and pronouns are NOT covered; any ad there is allowed. Exceptions (for example an account that is obviously not here to play) are handled case by case.
Talking about other servers is fine, and so is saying they are fun. If someone asks about a different server, the conversation can move to DMs to share an invite; that is not poaching. The line is crossed when someone pushes players away: repeatedly bringing up other servers to compare them with ours while talking ours down, or being here with no goodwill toward Vertyco at all.
YouTube, Twitch, and streaming accounts should only be shared to interested members.
No usage of bots outside of their assigned channels.
Any form of abuse of the bots is forbidden.
Punishment is at the discretion of the staff member.
Automating a user account (macros, autoclickers, scripts, or userbots) to send commands, messages, or event answers is prohibited. Punishment scales with the severity of the botting.
Exploiting the Discord currency system is forbidden.
Spamming multiple answers to events is prohibited.
